MyCokeRewards (MCR) is a customer loyalty program for Coca-Cola products. If you drink Diet Coke religiously like
FatHeadDog does, then joining MyCokeRewards is worthwhile. You can collect the points found on Coca-Cola products and earn rewards, such as magazine subscriptions, gift cards, Coca-Cola merchandise and Snapfish photo prints.
First off, go to the site to register. The signup process of choosing a user name and password is pretty painless. (Mypoints.com is offering 100 mypoints to sign up at MCR, great deal if you collect those.)
Next, start saving the following:
1. “flaps” from all Coca-Cola 12-packs= worth 10 points
2. “bottle caps” from specially marked 12oz and 2-liter bottles= worth 3 points
3. the “shrink-wrap” of select cases of Coca-Cola products (such as Dasani)= worth 20 points
4. the code printed inside the “cardboard” sides of 24 packs= worth 20 points
Finally, enter your codes online on the site and start redeeming once you’ve accumulated enough points for the prize you desire. Now, there are some hard-core Coke enthusiasts out there that dumpster dive for Coke flaps and scout recycling centers for the bottle caps. But just as everything FatHeadDog suggests on here, do what you have time for.
I just collect the flaps and caps I have for a few weeks, and then enter them at once. There is a weekly limit on the number of codes you can enter weekly, but that’s not a big deal for me because I only collect a few caps and a flap a week. So far, I’ve garnered subscriptions to Fast Company, Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, Lucky and several thousand Priority Club (Holiday Inn loyalty program that offers gift cards at 20,000 points) points.
