Win free My Coke Rewards bonus points

My Beloved Diet CokeIf you’ve got a stash of unentered MyCokeRewards codes, grab the 12-pack flaps and read this. And if you’re like my husband who hates–with a capital H–all the Diet Coke flaps and caps laying around the house, tell ‘em you’ll buy him a magazine subscription for his troubles.

Earn a chance to snag free bonus points when you enter MyCokeRewards codes from 12-packs of Coca-Cola products with the Million Point Giveaway. You can win 10, 50, even 1,000 bonus points daily during the promotion period now until Sept. 30.

The cool part (after I did some digging around the site) is from Sept. 21-30, you can enter the bonus game for free, without entering any MCR codes. To get the free entry, go to the bonus game page and click on Rules. Scroll down to Rule #5-b-ii and click on the link for “Click here for a free code”. The link’s not live yet so just check back on Sept. 21. Cheers!

Buy 8 Diet Cokes, Get 2 Free at CVS

My Beloved Diet CokeI’m always looking for a way to support my Diet Coke habit. While we’re in the refrigerated beverage section of CVS, look for a coupon tearpad with $1/two 20-ounce Coca-Cola coupons. A few times a week, I pick up two Diet Cokes for $1.59 each and use the dollar off coupon, making them roughly $1.10 each (plus tax). With your CVS Extra Care Card, buy nine 20-ounce Coca Cola products and get your 10th  free. Continuing with my entirely elementary math skills, purchase nine Cokes at $9.90 and get one free (a $1.59 value).

Then, go to MyCokeRewards.com to enter the code found under the cap for 3 points. Redeem 30 points, or 10 codes from 20-ounce bottles, for a free Coke product. You can use that coupon at CVS, which will count towards your buy 9, get 1 free. So, most awkwardly and clumsily explained, that’s how I buy 8 beloved Diet Cokes at CVS and get 2 free.

Bonus points for Powerade

My Coke RewardsIf you collect MyCokeRewards caps, grab a POWERADE cap for an extra 10 Bonus Points, in addition to the 3 points you earn from the package. That’s because May 1 – 31, the first code you enter from POWERADE bottles will boost your balance with 10 Bonus Points when you select “Powerade Play” as where you got the cap from. That’s a whole lotta prepositional phrases.

I skip the water and go straight to Diet Coke

Dear Coca-Cola,

As a loyal, if not borderline addictive Diet Coke drinker, why won’t you host a Diet Coke Jinx. Buy me a Diet Coke.Double Points Day? I hear we should start gathering our Dasani 12pk or 24pk point codes for Double Points Day on March 22, but all other Coke products will be excluded. What is this water you speak of? I rely on carbonated goodness for my thirst needs.

Thanks so much for your consideration,

FatHeadDog

Starter’s Guide for MyCokeRewards

MyCokeRewards (MCR) is a customer loyalty program for Coca-Cola products. If you drink Diet Coke religiously like cokecaps 150x150 Starters Guide for MyCokeRewardsFatHeadDog does, then joining MyCokeRewards is worthwhile. You can collect the points found on Coca-Cola products and earn rewards, such as magazine subscriptions, gift cards, Coca-Cola merchandise and Snapfish photo prints.

First off, go to the site to register. The signup process of choosing a user name and password is pretty painless. (Mypoints.com is offering 100 mypoints to sign up at MCR, great deal if you collect those.)

Next, start saving the following:
1. “flaps” from all Coca-Cola 12-packs= worth 10 points

2. “bottle caps” from specially marked 12oz and 2-liter bottles= worth 3 points

3. the “shrink-wrap” of select cases of Coca-Cola products (such as Dasani)= worth 20 points

4. the code printed inside the  “cardboard” sides of 24 packs= worth 20 points

Finally, enter your codes online on the site and start redeeming once you’ve accumulated enough points for the prize you desire. Now, there are some hard-core Coke enthusiasts out there that dumpster dive for Coke flaps and scout recycling centers for the bottle caps. But just as everything FatHeadDog suggests on here, do what you have time for.

I just collect the flaps and caps I have for a few weeks, and then enter them at once. There is a weekly limit on the number of codes you can enter weekly, but that’s not a big deal for me because I only collect a few caps and a flap a week. So far, I’ve garnered subscriptions to Fast Company, Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, Lucky and several thousand Priority Club (Holiday Inn loyalty program that offers gift cards at 20,000 points) points.
